Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage has cancelled a show in south African due to the recent Xenophobia attacks
Xenophobic attacks have been on the rise recently in South Africa, with majority of the victims being Nigerians.
So it is not strange that she has cancelled a show which is to take place in South Africa.
The DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival is South Africa’s premier lifestyle event. It is a two day festival celebrating the best food and music Joburg has to offer.
.The singer took to her Twitter handle to express her displeasure on the recent happenings,
She wrote;
“I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
