First EBOLA case confirmed in Congo city of Goma

The Democratic Republic of Congo’s Health Ministry has confirmed the first case of Ebola in the city of Goma late Sunday night.

The health ministry confirmed that a pastor tested positive for the virus in a centre in Goma after arriving there by bus on Sunday from Butembo.

This discovery raises fears that the virus could spread more quickly in the densely populated area close to the Rwandan border.
