U.S. rapper Cardi B filed papers on Tuesday to divorce her husband, Offset, after three years of their on-and-off marriage.
The “WAP” rapper, 27, filed for divorce at an Atlanta courthouse on Tuesday, saying the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for a reconciliation,” reportedly after finding out the Migos rapper, 28, had been unfaithful yet again, PEOPLE confirms. The pair, who share 2-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari, is due in court Nov. 4.
According to TMZ, Cardi B is currently separated from Offset and also wants legal custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus.
Mirror Online has approached Cardi B and Offset’s representatives for further comment.
The couple had secretly tied the knot in September 2017 before confirming the news the following year.
However, the relationship was rocked when Offset was accused of cheating on several occasions.
In December 2018, Cardi B was said to have tried to call it quits on their romance before Offset begged his wife for a second chance.
He said at the time: “I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back Cardi.
“We’re going through a lot of things right now, a lot of things in the media. I want to apologize to you, Cardi. I embarrassed you. I made you go crazy.”
He also apologised for “partaking in an activity that [he] shouldn’t have been partaking in.”
More recently, Cardi B has also opened up about her sex life and admitted she was “lonely” in lockdown.
Speaking to her Instagram followers at the time, Cardi B said: “I have sex so many times, and now I’m on my period, I can’t even f** k.”
Just days before submitting the divorce filing, Cardi B shared a cryptic post on social media. The message read: “Her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time.”
