Remember the hit song ‘Fiesta’ by Appietus which featured Sarkodie and Kesse?
Well, some days ago, Kesse disclosed in an interview that he was given just GHC 20 for collaborating on the song. ’’ I was paid GHC 20 for collaborating on ‘Azonto Fiesta’’ with Sarkodie and Appietus. The money was even for fuel.’’
This revelation sparked a whole lot of negative comments on King Sark’s brand. Sarkodie, who couldn’t sit back and do nothing responded to Kesse’s claims saying; ‘
’I’m not sure he mentioned my name bro. That aint my song and I didn’t make a penny off that either…call the owner shouts to the brother Kesse.’’
Renowned Sound Engineer, Appietus, who is the original owner of the song, has reacted to Sarkodie’s claims in an interview on Hitz FM.
He called Sarkodie ungrateful because according to him, Sarkodie has made a lot of money from the song. He stated that Sark has numerously performed his song on many platforms which he has been paid for.
‘’Sarkodie made money from the song. Sarkodie performed this particular song on many stages, and every stage they paid him before he performed, and once he always went on stage and performed this song, that’s money he was also made from the song, and so he shouldn’t come out and be saying he didn’t make penny off the song.’’ He stated.
